James I. MacDougall Art
James Ian MacDougall is a painter living and working in Stratford, Ontario. He is a member of the Portrait Society of Canada, a Queen’s Jubilee Medal honoree, and a board member and past President of the Ontario Society of Artists.
"Life force radiates from MacDougall’s portraits, and seeing his work, one can’t help but sense the melding of artist and physician. The clinical skills of observation, trust, intuition and needing to consider an unknown outcome all come into play. As a skilled healer, he must meet the patient half way. The same would apply in his art. " ( - Kim Horsman, Start Stratford online magazine)
